Topic: 5 Probable Impacts of 10% Tax on Stock Dividend | Dhaka Stock Exchange | DSEBD | DSE | Finance School This presentation will attempt to describe the following topics 1. Distribution of Stock Dividend unnecessarily will be reduced which is good. 2. Many companies might not have adequate cash to distribute as cash dividend. If company does not have higher positive cash flow they might not be able to give cash dividend. In such case company may lower dividend amount. So dividend cut might be there. Price of share might fall if there is dividend cut. 3. Owners of the companies might be engaged in the price manipulation of the company’s share through earnings and dividend manipulation. Lower dividend will lower the share price. They might collect shares at lower rate. In the next year company will show more profit and dividend and price will increase. 4. If more cash dividend is given, company may face problem for expanding its business. If they take more loan for expansion, interest expense will be increased which will lower the profit of the company which will lower the share price. 5.
